healthdigest.com about Morbus Crohn

February 21st, 2023

Dear readers,
healthdigest.com just wrote an article that provides tips for dealing with bathroom anxiety when you have Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects your digestive tract. Bathroom anxiety is a common issue for people with Crohn’s disease, as they may experience frequent and urgent bowel movements, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and other symptoms that make it difficult to find a suitable restroom when needed.

Tips include:

  1. Planning ahead by locating nearby restrooms using apps like Bathroom Scout, “which can help you find more than 2.7 million bathrooms and restrooms worldwide, including public toilets as well as restrooms in restaurants and other facilities”.
  2. Carrying a kit with essentials such as toilet paper, wipes, hand sanitizer, medication, change of clothes, etc.
  3. Practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or listening to music to calm your nerves and reduce stress.
  4. Seeking professional help from a therapist or counselor if your anxiety is severe or interfering with your daily life.

Bathroom Scout celebrates 10th anniversary

January 4th, 2023

Happy 10th anniversary to Bathroom Scout! We can’t believe it’s been a decade since our app first launched on Android, and since then it has continued to grow and evolve.
From the very beginning, Bathroom Scout has been dedicated to helping people find clean, accessible restrooms when they’re on the go. With over 2,700,000 entries in our toilet database, we’ve become a go-to resource for people all around the world.
In 2013, we expanded our reach by launching Bathroom Scout for iOS, making it even easier for people to find the nearest bathroom when they’re out and about. And in 2015, we started working with B2B customers, allowing other companies to incorporate our bathroom data into their own apps.
We’ve always been committed to providing a reliable service, and in 2016 we made sure to take extra steps to ensure the uptime of our app. After a data center outage that year, we made sure to implement redundancies across countries and provider borders to prevent any future outages.
Over the years, Bathroom Scout has been constantly improving thanks to both the support of our community and our dedicated team. We’re so grateful for everyone who has supported us and helped us become the go-to resource for finding clean, accessible restrooms. Here’s to another 10 years of helping people find the nearest bathroom!

The best apps for on the go

April 10th, 2020

The Bathroom Scout is a constant topic in the media. For instance, inside-digital.de and kxan36news.com report under the heading “Hygiene for people and cars” that the Bathroom Scout helps when you need a bathroom and there is no rest area in sight.
Under the heading “useful smartphone apps”, the German magazine “Das Neue” also presents the Bathroom Scout in its 02.2020 issue, which “quickly finds a quiet place in the immediate vicinity”.
And with reason: The Bathroom Scout already has around 2.5 million entries worldwide and can be integrated into other apps via a simple API interface.
